Pat was a fun loving man, who loved to socialise and have a drink . He served with the Parachute Regiment in his early days and would always turn out for Remembrance Day every year. He lived life to the full and will always be remembered by his family and friends. Rest in Peace Dad xxx

I can't get through to you,
I called the operator,
She did all that she could do.
There is no code for heaven,
I cannot place the call,
No numbers left to call,
I reckon I've tried them all.

And miss you every day,
How much I prayed to god,
That he could let you stay.

Poem for Dad
Ode To Our Dear Dad
Dear Dad you were so special
In your own and simple way
We just feel very sad
That you’ve been taken away.
We feel so very lost
Our hearts they ache with pain
For life without you Dad
Will never be the same.
We’ve had our ups and downs
The downs we do regret
But the memories we have of you
We never will forget.
We’d planned to do so many things
There’s things we’d wished we’d said
But time ran out before we knew
And alas dear Dad you’re dead.
We needed to write this poem Dad
To tell you how we feel
And hope that in the future Dad
Our loss and hurt will heal.
We miss you our dear Dad
And this is very true
Please hear us Darling Dad
When we say we so love you.
We’ve had our special time Dad
Which no one can take away
And we hope that in the future
We’ll be together again someday.
Be happy where you are Dad
We’re glad you’re out of pain
But life without you Dad
It just can’t ever be the same.

My father, mother and husband passed of cancer and they both were in the Army. Our beloved soldiers are now free from pain and the last battle has been fought but sadly lost. My sincere condolences to all the family. God Bless you Angel Patrick, safe in the arms of Our Lord. xx
